Kim Badawi’s work appears in 25 Under 25: Up-and-Coming American Photographers (powerHouse Books, 2008) and The Taqwacores- Muslim Punk in the USA (powerHouse Books, 2009) He won the Arab Media & Society Award for Best Photographer of the Year in 2007. The photos we collaborated on were exhibited at powerHouse Arena: Taqwacores- Muslim Punk in the USA (September 16-October 25 2009) kicked off by a live Kominas show, book signing and launch party.
